Is it just me or the Sanctum Cay mission got harder?

I was supposed to defend Vizier until he summons the ship, but there were at least 30 White Mantles try to go to him. (I dispatched ~6 groups of them and I still see at least 5 more 3-dot groups on the radar coming to me). Did Vizier forgot the words to the ritual or something? I literately waited 5 whole minutes for him to summons the ship! It wasn't like this a while ago! So the White Mantles finally got to him and killed him, and I see the ship sunk to the bottom of the ocean; but before he died I didn't see the ship nor the quest updates anything! (I went back and standed right next to him trying to knock down the 4 knights around him so I am pretty I am facing the ocean).

It used to be they trickled in. Like 2-3 for the first wave. Then 2-3 on the other side. Then 4 and 4. Then 4 on both sides simultaneously. Then a whole horde came but the cinematic popped up and we were saved.

One time, our guild party decided to go to the right and kill the entire area where the mantle came from. Done. We go to the left and kill the entire area of mantle there too. Then we head to the ship area... Lo and Behold, there were 25 or so Mantle amassed at the docks in a big red circle of death. So when we got close to the ship, the Vizier spawned and was immediately consumed in White Mantle Fury.

Word of advice. Don't dilly dally.

same here - without the massive horde...did it with henchies and was expecting a much harder fight at the end but it was just a matter of take out one group, run to other side take out other group, wait and repeat...

Well i did that mission 2 days ago. My undead 'aid' died even before they exit the initial gate , and i killed alot of mantles all the way to the beach. Then the guy starts raising his ship and ...
NOTHING?!

I whispered a friend and asked him if something was suppose to happen now, and he said im suppose to get swarmed by mantles now...is this a bug? I completed the mission without a -single- group showing up. Although the mission at Elanor Oasis [in the desert] is making up for that it seems .....
